Branched Alcohols

KUM WARM alcohols are isomeric branched, primary alcohols that contain both even- and odd-numbered hydrocarbon chains, ranging from C8 to C13. In general, there are two main types of structures in industrial alcohols.

Benefits

High-purity Ealcohols exhibit reactivity typical of higher primary alcohols. Thanks to their branched structure, Exxal alcohols offer many performance ad- vantages to ethoxylates compared to linear alco- hol-based ones:

  • Low pour point – prohibits gel and wax formation, facilitates processing of alcohols and derivatives
  • Biodegradability – all of our alcohols and their ethox- ylates meet the OECD 301F readily biodegradable threshold for isomeric mixtures
  • Superior wetting power of derived surfactants – excel- lent candidates for resource extraction and nonylphe- nol substitution

Solvents and fluids

Hydrocarbon fluids, including specialty brands and unique products tailored for specific applications, are available in a variety of distillation ranges and evaporation rates. They are well-suited as solvents, dispersants, diluents and carriers for many applications. Our aromatic fluids., are heavy aromatic grades with high solvency and controlled evaporation characteristics that make them versatile performers in many industrial and agricultural applications.

This solvents are high-purity syn- thetic isoparaffins with consistent and uniform quality, thanks to selected feedstocks and controlled manufacturing processes. They deliver the narrowest boiling ranges for hydrocarbon fluids.

A clear, colorless and volatile mate- rial with a light odor that possesses physico-chemical and solvency properties similar to those of ethyl alcohol, making it miscible with water and soluble in most organic solvents.

Traditional solvents widely used in industry for decades as a replace- ment for kerosene.

Plastomers

Plastomers are ethylene alpha olefin copolymers that bridge the gap between elastomers and plastics. With rubber-like properties and the processability of plastic, they are used as polymer modifiers to provide unique properties in flexible packaging, molded and extruded products, wire and cable, and foaming compounds.

We offer a broad portfolio of high-performance plastomers that includes octene, hexene and butene grades. These innovative plastomers are suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

Our tackifiers are amorphous, glassy, low-molecular-weight hydrocarbon polymers that pro- mote adhesion and tack in hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives. They are compatible with most base polymers, polymer modifiers and antioxidants that you may add to your adhesive formulation.
